Day tour to Saanane Island
Welcome to Saanane, a Park that is located on an island in the Lake Victoria covering an area of 2.18 Km2. It’s the only National Park within the city limits.The island was named after Mzee Saanane Chawandi, a local farmer and fisherman. It is also the smallest NAtional PArk in Tanzania covering a lot of beauty with such a short distance from the city. You cmay call it City Break Park. Saanane National park was established in 2013
Park Attractions and Activities:
The Island is a home to free roaming mammals such as zebra, impala, rock hyrax, velvet monkey and wild cat. It’s the only place in Tanzania where you might encounter the De-brazza’s monkey. The fishing tour can also be arranged while visiting the park The aquatic part of the Park inhabits a variety of fisheries life, including Tilapia and Nile Perch
